Bodywork & Massage Therapy

The Sphenoid: The Coolest Bone in Your Body!

Do you struggle with pain and discomfort in your daily life?

Does your wellness plan leave you hanging with unresolved issues?
Do you have a wellness plan?
Are you hypermobile or have hEDS?
Are you a trauma survivor?

Would you like to improve your performance—physically and energetically?

If you answered yes to any, some, or all of these, I can help!
I am on a mission to empower you, create functional embodiment, energetic resilience, & spiritual attunement to help you overcome primary & generational patterns, restoring mobility you thought you had lost.

If you're done running in circles just to feel better and ready to embrace your best life, I'd love to be your partner in healing. But only if you agree to do your part as well. I don't heal you.

I remind you of you own healing abilities. And together, we're a powerhouse of healing.

Everything I do goes back to the nervous system, especially the vagus nerve, and is trauma-informed.

I can accept your PIP motor vehicle accident insurance if you've been in a car accident. I take only a one case at a time, so please ask.

Please note: My practice is private pay at time of service, unless I agree to take your MVA case. I do not bill medical insurance. I can gladly take your HSA card through Square or give you a receipt to submit to your insurance company. I prefer to spend my time helping clients in person, rather than in front of my computer trying to get paid.

What to expect:

This is not a typical Swedish "fluff and buff" or "deep tissue" massage. I don't do that. We will work in myofascial layers from surface to depth, to reset your nervous system and activate your body's best healing capabilities.

We begin with a thorough intake form, and by addressing your needs, goals, and movement patterns. This might involve questions and postural analysis. It might involve me "listening" to your body with my hand hovering over your head or other areas. Then I will craft a curated treatment for your specific issues pulling from my vast repertoire of modalities.

Fair warning: there will be homework! But don't worry, it's always easy to follow. I might recommend ball rolling, simple stretches, pilates, or yoga/stretching, delivered on an easy-to-follow guide.

Consider this your gentle (sometimes not so gentle) and blissed reminder to practice self-care.

This holistic approach is designed to address your needs as a whole person. My mission is to help you find the tools that bring you calmness, clarity, relief and of course bliss!

About Blissed Wellness:

Blissed Wellness is completely ADA accessible, including the en suite restroom, with van accessible Disabled (Other Abled) parking spots right in front of the door. It also has two unique treatment rooms, equipped with hydraulic tables and far infrared heated, gemstone filled mats that also do photon light therapy and PEMF frequencies for healing. Just laying on the tables is therapy! While most treatments can be done in either room, the Sol Space is designed for Sound Healing and Sacred Sound Sauna sessions while the Luna Room is ready for Energetic Alchemy and pre-/post-natal massage therapy sessions. The entire space is crystal gridded, Reikified, protected, and blessed in many ways so the moment you walk in, you feel like you stepped into sacred space.

Bowenwork®

Bhrigha is now a Certified Bowenwork® Therapist. Bowenwork was developed by Tom Bowen in Australia and is a wonderful addition to Bhrigha's extensive toolbox. Bowenwork® is a system of touch that initiates a series of responses through stimulation of the nervous, musculoskeletal, fascial and energetic systems of the body. A form of myofascial work, gentle rolling motions over tendons, ligaments, and muscle bellies are used to effect change in the deeper layers, with restful integration times on the table to let the messages from the proprioceptors and receptors get all the way back to the brain and nervous system. Its like reprogramming your computer with subtle messages from the body. Can be done wearing loose comfortable clothes if you prefer.

Its recommended to start with 1 session a week for 3 weeks, then every 2 weeks or as needed. There are specific protocols and session frequencies for different conditions. The Blissed Bowenwork Boutique is a clinic type atmosphere on Tuesdays where people may come in for a quick or long session with 2 treatment rooms is use. This allows for people experiencing an acute need to get in to see me faster, much like an acupuncturist operates.

Craniosacral Work

Bhrigha studied both the Upleger system from her early mentors in 1995-2000 and the Milne system from 2000-2002 and blends elements of both for a unique Blissed experience. This subtle, light-pressured yet powerful technique is like hitting the reset button on your nervous system! It works with the cerebrospinal fluid system, and muscles and fascia that attach to bones in the skull, spine, sacrum and throughout the body to relieve pain and encourage posture that promotes health and happiness. No oils are used and you're welcome to wear athletic or loose-fitting clothing for your session.

Craniosacral Work is effective on its own especially with TMJ Therapies, and also blends well with Bowenwork™, Neurovascular Release™, and Reiki/Energetic Alchemy for a truly magical experience.

Craniosacral is great for:

  • TMJ dysfunction

  • Migraines

  • Scoliosis

  • Postural Imbalances

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Hypermobility and hEDS issues

  • PTSD

  • Anxiety

  • Headaches

  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

  • Nerve entrapment conditions

  • Relief after dental visits

  • Motor vehicle accident recovery

Neurovascular Release™

Bhrigha is now one of only a small handful of Anatomy Trains™ Certified Practitioners of Manual Neurovascular Release™, which grew out of the Structural Integration world. It is a form of Myofscial work that goes to the root cause of muscular tension, which is often not in the muscles themselves.

Through extensive study of the nervous system, Bhrigha has discovered that hard and deep work actually can cause more trauma to the body and this gentle work is much more effective, holding the changed patterns longer that other types of bodywork.

Fascia is the connective tissue in your body, connecting skin to muscle, muscle to bone, and all of your anatomy. When the fascial system gets bound, it restricts movement in the body, often entrapping nerves and good vessels, contributing to many postural and muscular issues. This can be quite painful and is often an underlying cause of chronic conditions. Three to four sessions are recommended to resolve long term chronic or recurring conditions.

Bhrigha's goal is to gently lengthen the neurovascular (nerve and blood vessel) tracts that your muscles have been protecting. This will naturally allow your body to reorganize and feel more balanced, allowing it to integrate in relationship to gravity, by manipulating soft tissues and/or correcting inappropriate patterns of movement. This helps rebalance the entire body and nervous system.

Neurovascular Release™ is trauma-informed and perfect for you if you  need relief from:

  • Trauma or Anxiety issues (This can teach you how to calm your own nervous system.)

  • Sciatica

  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Golfer's and tennis elbow

  • Adhesions and scar tissue

  • Nerve entrapments

  • Hypermobility and hEDS issues

  • Scoliosis

  • Adhesions and scar tissue

  • Stiffness and decreased range of motion

  • History of medical interventions

TMJ/IntraOral Therapies

The temporomandibular joint in the jaw can cause a significant amount of pain, headaches, popping, clicking, lockjaw, and eating issues when not functioning properly. This is known as TMJ Dysfunction. Using a blend of techniques including IntraOral massage, I can help with TMJ problems. The pressure used is generally light to moderate, but the Intraoral work can be intense. I work within your comfort level and you are in control the whole time.

Get relief from:

  • Headaches/Migraines

  • Jaw clicking/popping

  • Locked jaw

  • Opening and closing issues of the jaw

  • Dental work

  • Multiple Sclerosis-related jaw problems

"One of the most talented massage therapists I have met in the Portland/Vancouver region. Skilled in deep tissue and sports therapy. Knowledgeable and professional with only a slight “new agey” aura. Tapping into Bhrigha’s vast alternative medicine knowledge without being buried in hippy dippy nonsense is a perk of being her client. I highly recommend this massage therapist."
