Healing Arts Philosophy

"The mind has great influence over the body, and maladies often have their origin there.”

I have been fascinated with rhythm, music, and movement my whole life! I love all forms of dance and have studied and professionally performed several styles. Music moves my body and soul. To me bodywork is like a dance: my partner is the client, whose body tells me what it needs and where it needs to go.

I believe that the physical body remembers and stores everything that has happened to it in cellular memory, from happy things to traumatic experiences. If there is a traumatic experience that has not been fully processed and released, if it has been repressed or disassociated, the body begins to experience dis-ease: any state that is not fully at ease. This can then be transferred to the spirit, mind, and soul if left untreated, and visa versa.  We need to do the inner work AND the outer work!

You cannot successfully treat just one part, because they are all interconnected; a problem with one will affect the others. Everyone’s body is different and it is up to each person to find what works best for him/herself. However, taking care of yourself is not a luxury; it is a necessity for a healthy & happy life, and bodywork is a part of that solution.

I firmly believe that our bodies were made to move & in order to fully heal & integrate, we need to do something we enjoy to bring movement into our daily lives. Whether it is daily dog walks, running, yoga, dance, stretching, its necessary to move to fully heal.

I have been walking the path of holistic health & metaphysical studies for 30 years and have delved in depth into numerous subjects to help myself heal from trauma, anxiety, TMJ dysfunction, 2 car accidents caused by drunk drivers, and numerous dance-related injuries & issues. Its my honour & mission in life to share what's worked for me & to help you discover your bliss through my integrative holistic healing modalities.

Over 20 years of training & experience!

My approach to  bodywork is eclectic, incorporating several styles: Craniosacral work, Myofascial Release, Medical Massage, Yoga/Movement, Shiatsu/Acupressure, Thai Yoga Massage, Thai Herbal Ball Therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and energy work, such as Reiki and Pranic Healing.

  • In January 2019, I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training & am now registered with Yoga Alliance.

  • I was a faculty instructor at Everest College, Vancouver campus, teaching all subjects in Anatomy/Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, and all massage techniques & helped to design the curriculum for the Massage Therapy Program.

  • I’ve maintained a massage therapy license in the state of Florida since 1995, (FL MA#20757.)

  • I completed the Experiential Course (approximately 136 hours) in Visionary Craniosacral Work with The Milne Institute, Inc., a form of Craniosacral work developed by Hugh Milne, D.O., with whom I studied directly for half of those hours.

  • Craniosacral with MFR is my main focus, having studied it for over 20 years.

  • I am also Intraoral Certified in the state of WA.

  • Using my varied approaches, I’ve helped clients suffering from TMJ syndrome, migraines, postural imbalances, thoracic outlet syndrome, Motor Vehicle Accidents, spinal deviations, scoliosis, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.

  • I've taught classes in a variety of subjects ranging from science to energy to movement.

  • I have experience working with veterans, and grew up in the USMC, so I have a special place in my heart for those who served, offering active military & veteran discounts.

Believe In Bliss!

Energy work, especially Reiki & Pranic Healing are also a secondary focus and often incorporated into sessions.  This is part of what makes my sessions different from other therapists.

  • In January 2019, I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training & am now registered with Yoga Alliance.

  • I am  an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and offer Reiki sessions to clients & attunements/initiations, in addition to several other Continuing Education Classes for LMTs/LMPs.

  • From 2017-18, I completed over 60 hours of Pranic Healing, Pranic Crystal Healing, Advanced Pranic Healing, & Pranic Psychotherapy.

  • I am also an ordained Minister with the Universal Life Church & enjoy doing  life rituals for clients.

As in my practice, I strive to keep a balance of energy/science, East/ West, Yin/Yang, light/dark in my daily life as well, for we cannot fully appreciate the light if there was no darkness. Married to the love of my life, when I’m not working, I love to spend time with my love, do yoga, hike & swim in waterfalls & work in my yard & organic garden, support the vibrant arts communities, play with my critter kids, dance, create holistic products from my garden, and refinish/distress antique & vintage furniture.

If you would like to schedule an appointment for some Blissed time, please call or email. I look forward to helping you to be your bliss!
